Blog 4: The Allegory of the Cave

Let me paint you a picture of how our race is in the light or in the dark. We've been captive in own beliefs due to the imagine we've been portrait as a child. We chose to either been enlightened or unenlightened.
In the story of "the Cave of the Allegory" written by Plato, tells us how one mans journey towards the light. Being in the shadows of a cave. Imprisoned to what he thought was true. He took the risk into coming out of the darkness and walking toward this bright light. Once out of this darkness, he was in shocked of what he saw. After so many years, he belief became different to the change. At first he refused to accept the truth until he saw every living proof.

  1. Your details are clear but a few more sentences would of made it complete, you stated the title and author, you let the reader know in the first sentence what the topic is which is race. But you didnt let the reader kow what the character saw.

  2. The main idea is mentioned in your summary and supporting idea also has been included but show the reader that it is socrates talking to Glaucon about what his story is going state.By reading I feel a little personal opinion has been expressed.
The chain events from my notes,

1.Socrates was talking to Glaucon about how our race sees the world
    2.A world underground with prisoners
3.The prisoner being released and seeing this new world and opening his eyes to new life.
4.Then pitying his fellow prisoners and trying to open their eyes as well.
5.Socrates concluding that it is his opinion and only god knows if he is right or wrong

I know definitely it was written in your own words because there was a passion behind it.
Very few spelling errors but this sentence, “Being in the shadows of a cave.”, and be connected by a comma. Overall I liked reading your summary and I hope I helped out a little bit.
